UK Business Awards - Entry Terms & Conditions

The " Awards" or "UKBA" means UK Business Awards.
The"Organisers" or "We" - means UK Business Awards'
employees, its contractors, promoters and agents.
"Entrants" or "You" - means those registering
for and/or participants of the Awards program.
"Award Winner" - means recipients of a UK Business Award.
The "Awards" page located on this website
forms part of these Entry Terms & Conditions.
ELIGIBILITY: Entry
is open to all entities registered in United Kingdom as specified in the Conditions
of Entry. Entries are accepted from officers, directors, proprietor(s), employees
or authorised agents.
AWARD CATEGORIES: The Awards recognise
and reward outstanding achievement in accordance with the award category key
criteria for each award category as outlined on "The Awards" page located
on this website. Entrants may compete in multiple award
categories. A separate entry must be submitted for each award category entered.
INDUSTRY CLASSIFICATIONS: UKBA utilise The Global Industry Classification Standard (GICS) to classify the industry of the Entrants. You may be required
to confirm your industry classification at the conclusion of the first stage
of the judging process. All Entrants will be assessed within their respective
industry group at the second stage.
ENTRY DETAILS: Entries can be completed online or submitted via post. The deadline
for entries is Thursday 28 May 2009. Date of posting on
Thursday 28 May 2009 will also be acceptable. The official entry form must be used. No responsibility
will be accepted for incomplete, damaged or corrupt entries. Proof of submission
is not proof of delivery.
JUDGING PANEL: The Judging panel is
appointed and co-ordinated by the UK Business Awards. An esteemed and
diverse panel of business professionals and academics make up the judging panel.
The panel is carefully selected to ensure the selection
process is fair and objective. The
judges are bound by a strict confidentiality agreement and are required to declare
any conflict of interest in entries over which they deliberate and to stand
aside from deliberations concerning those entries.
JUDGING PROCESS: Entries will be judged on the basis of
the information provided in the completed entry form, your submission and supporting
materials. The judging process is designed to be fair and free of bias or influence.
All entries are evaluated in accordance with the award key criteria within their
respective industry group. At the end of a two-stage evaluation process, the
judges select the Winner of each award category in each industry. Entrants are
notified by confidential mail at the conclusion of the first stage of the judging
process. All Award Winners are notified by mail prior to the public announcement.
UKBA reserves
the right to request additional information concerning any entry, as deemed
appropriate by the judging panel based on the award key criteria and the merits
of the entries being submitted. The judges reserve the right to transfer any
entry to a different award category that, in their view, does not meet the key
criteria for the award category nominated by the entrant. The Judges decision
is final and cannot be appealed. No correspondence will be entered into. UKBA
reserves the right to refuse to accept any entry which in the Awards' opinion
does not comply with the Entry Terms and Conditions or which contravenes the
spirit of the Awards program. UKBA reserves the right to make no award in any
category if the Judges are not satisfied with the standard or quality of entries
received. UKBA has absolute discretion to disqualify any entry.
AWARDS AND ACCOLADES: There are award winners for each
category in each industry as determined by the UKBA Judging Panel.
Award winners are honoured with a framed certificate and marketing material
which includes a customised logo with authorised licence number in recognition
of their achievement. Subject to usage guidelines the authorised logo can be
used on all your marketing and promotional material. In the event that You are
successful in your category UKBA will prepare your award pack ahead of the public
announcement. In order for the organisers to be able to prepare the award pack in time for the
public announcement, all Entrants that successfully progress to the final stage
of the judging process will be required to agree to UKBA's Licence Agreement & Licence Fee Schedule, which is accessible upon completion of the registration process and viewable via the official entry form.
PRIVACY: UKBA collects, uses, discloses and otherwise handles
the Entrants personal information in accordance with the terms of its Privacy
Policy.
COPYRIGHT:All contributions submitted to the Awards, assign copyright ownership
to UKBA in the event that the work is published or used for promotional material.
Award Winners and details of winning initiatives may be promoted by UKBA. Award
Winners may also be required for media interviews. Further
information may also be sought from Award Winners to be publicised as part of
the UKBA's promotion of the Awards program.
DISCLAIMER: UKBA has absolute discretion to vary, amend or waive the terms and conditions of the Awards program at any time. UKBA, its promoters, its contractors, employees and agents, shall not be liable for any claims, losses, damages, injury, costs and expenses suffered, sustained or incurred (including but not limited to indirect or consequential) as a result of, arising out of, or in any way connected the awards and/or it's promotional material, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law. It is a condition of entry that all terms and conditions are accepted as final and that the entrant agrees to abide by these rules.
END OF ENTRY TERMS & CONDITIONSGRANT OF LICENCE: Subject to the terms and conditions of this
Agreement (“Agreement”), The UK Business Awards ("UKBA")
grants your organisation (“Licensee”,“Award Winner”
or “You”) a non transferable, non exclusive licence ( "Licence")
to use and display UKBA logos ( "Logo") in connection with your legitimate
business activities for a period of two (2) years upon payment of the Logo Licence
Fee ( "Licence Fee").
USAGE GUIDELINES: The right to use and display the Logo on your website, marketing
or promotional documentation etc. ("Materials") must comply with any
directions given by UKBA regarding use of the Logo and comply with UKBA's guidelines
for Logo usage. These guidelines are titled 'Logo Usage Guidelines' and may
be amended by UKBA from time to time. UKBA reserves the right to alter or amend
these guidelines at any time and without notice to the Licensee. Your use of
the UKBA Logo constitutes your full and unconditional acceptance of these Conditions.
LICENCE FEE:The Licence Fee is a one-off payment that does
not need to be renewed. An invoice will be issued to all entrants who successfully
reach the second stage of the evaluation process. The fee is due within 14 days
of receipt of invoice and is payable in £. If payment
is not received, the entrant will no longer be considered for an Award. All
unsuccessful candidates will receive a full reimbursement of the Licence Fee.
END OF LICENCE AGREEMENT
UKBusinessAwards.co.uk ("the Site") is a web site developed by UK Business Awards (referred to herein as "UKBA"). By entering the Site or any of its associated channels (e.g. ), you are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
Changes to these Terms and Conditions: Due to the constant development of the Site it may become necessary to amend these terms and conditions and UK Business Awards reserves the right to do so by posting changes online. It is your responsibility to check these terms and conditions regularly and your continued use of the Site after such changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions as amended.
Use of Content: The services and information provided in UKBusinessAwards.co.uk are for your personal, non commercial use only.
SITE TRANSACTIONS: You may be referred by the Site to products or services from third party providers. Any such transaction is concluded under the terms of business of the third party provider and UKBusinessAwards.co.uk accepts no liability for such transactions.

Privacy, Security, Your Information
We have developed our own privacy principles which embody the
Privacy Laws.
We generally only collect personal information from this website when it is
provided voluntarily by you. We will not share your personal information with
any other third party without your express permission.
We do not publish the names of companies, organisations or their
products that have not been shortlisted, nor will we disclose or reproduce any
information from your entry. Therefore if you enter the awards, but are not
successful, this will remain confidential. In addition, entrants may mark any
commercially sensitive information contained in their entry as ‘not for
publication’.
Copyright Ownership
The organisers reserve the right to use information contained
in the shorlisted and winning entries (apart from contact details and any content
marked not for publication) for subsequent publicity, promotions and
other activities relating to the awards program.
For legal reasons we must assume copyright ownership of your entry (in case
you are successful) however, as mentioned above, we will not use this information
unless you are shortlisted or win an award. Entries are accepted on the understanding
that the UK Business Awards assumes copyright ownership of your entry,
and that all information contained in your entry (apart from contact details
and any content marked not for publication) can be reproduced in part or full
by the UK Business Awards in relation to the awards program.
Use of cookies
A cookie is a small message given to your web browser by our web server.

back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. We
make limited use of cookies on this website. We only use cookies to improve
the functionality of our website, not to store any of your personal information.
